Well, sort of rested. I took a longer walk and cut back on the elliptical time while adding more tension to the mechanism.

SLEEP: 9 hr, 17 min (awake x1, restless x3)
NOTE: I was awakened by my wife's backup alarm at 5:10 am and had to find it, figure out how to shut it off before going back to sleep. She has discontinued its use.
In keeping with my once a week weigh-in philosophy, I also weighed in yesterday:
Starting weight: 238.0 pounds
Weight on 7 Jan: 230.8 pounds
Total weight lost: 7.2 pounds
Not too shabby, a pound a day. My doctor told me to lose six pounds, so I have surpassed her goal. My initial goal is to get below 220 pounds, which will slide down in 20 pound increments until I reach 160 again. Of course, the last time I weighed 160 pounds was 34 years ago when we lived in Italy!
